Thorns and Leaves

Finally I have been able to see my dear ones at Olderdissen again!
Since Laika's death back in september I've only been there three times, including today. Time has passed, but unfortunately the pack seems to be still very unsettled. On every of my three visits the pack hierarchy has been different. For now it seems like Smilla has relinquished her position as alpha female. Ronja is clearly in charge and Smilla was even acting a bit aloof around Luna. But that doesn't have to mean anything, as Luna is Ronja's shadow. Though Smilla doesn't avoid them, she's actually keeping an eye on them all the time. Also on this picture, standing on the same spot where Laika always used to watch out. What I found very interesting is that while Ronja's and Luna's bodies are full of scratches and biting marks Smilla has like only two tiny scrapes.
I wish I had more time to observe what's going on there.
