In fact Luna is the leader of the pack since december 12. Ronja supports on the second rank. Currently the mood inside the enclosure is really peaceful, and i heard something that i really missed in the last few months: The Sound of Ronja!
Are you sure? It didn't appeared to me like that at all. For me Luna was rather the one who didn't cared for the others and simply was busy with running around hysterically. Like she decided that she doesn't belong to this hierarchy anymore.
So now everyone of the four had been top ranked at one time in the last months, eh? (I heard that the TV said Kira would be alpha, holy crap) A bit weird.
I haven't heard one of them howling for two years now.
You are right: Luna is sometimes busy, but not hysterically. For some reason her day runs in a different way. The others are more active in the early morning hours while Luna is sleeping on her hill.
When the others have their siesta after the feeding time, Luna starts moving. At this time no one is closer to Luna than Luna herself and she gives a damn on it what the others do. So she seems to be uninterested.
Ronja is a good actress and this is helpful to strengthen her position. Please keep in mind: Holding of a rank means 30 percent muscles and 70 percent psyche.
Kira and alpha? Well, it was a guess in a time when we got riddles day in day out and everything seemed to be possible.
I guess I will visit them again tomorrow or sunday!
I loved Laika, she was my favourite out of them all, she was such a beauty.
