Teenage Wolf

Photo of Kiley I took in January, when KiwiProductions had visited me. Last time I saw this pack was in May 2013, so I haven't seen them in quite a big while! Kiley is such a beauty! Unfortunately her litter sister Ceyla already developes a white muzzle, which makes her look older as she is. Funnily her older sister Xelha is still the pure black wolf she had always been ... which is quite unusual for black wolves.
On a sadder note - two wolves were missing. The old alpha female - who got deposed in spring 2013 - was nowhere to see, as well as another older pack member. The pack appeared rather depressed and restless, so probably one of these two had died a short time ago, or they removed them from the pack. I don't now.
