A month ago I visited the wildlife park of Bad Mergentheim with my dear friend
. It's still the greatest park for photography that I know. You never have fences or glass in front of you, but a free view. And all enclosures are just beautiful
The only sad thing about it is that it is so far away from my home (+3 hours car drive) xD and that the wolves there ... are not the most beautiful ones compared to other wolves. This male here is actually one of the better looking wolves in the pack. Most of the other wolves are incredibly fat (they feed them two to three times a day!!!) and well ... They would really do good with a bit fresh blood in their genes. As far as I know the pack exists for over 30 years now and they never introduced new unrelated wolves into it. Still they have puppies almost every year and with roughly 35 wolves (no one can say for sure) it's the biggest wolf pack of europe.
(Sub)species: Eastern Timber Wolf (Canis Lupus Lycaon)
Age: probably 1 year (2012)
Localisation: Wildpark Bad Mergentheim, Bad Mergentheim, Germany
You can use my photos as long as it is not for commercial purpose
(this includes commissions and point commissions, too!). If you want
to use them for photo-manipulations, roleplaying games, avatars, as
drawing references, or private things that's okay with me. You don't
have to note me, but giving credit would be a fair appreciation. And
feel free to show me what you do with my photos, I'd love to see it!
